Dear Garfield Families,
It is almost time for our End of Year Evening Event, the Garfield Talent Show!
Please join us this Thursday, May 28th from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The event will be outdoors on the Garfield blacktop. We are happy to share that there are 30 acts for the evening! So, prepare to have some fun cheering our amazing Garfield students on and enjoying the show!
The schedule for the evening is as follow:
5:30 Arrival and food (courtesy of the Garfield PTA and Rommy at Sabor)
- Elote cups
- Vege cups
- Nacho cups
Families are also welcome to bring their family dinner to enjoy at the event.

Parking and Traffic at Garfield
As we have more field trips and other special activities, we may see more traffic around the school and that can be challenging as we have many walkers and cyclists.Please continue to be careful when driving in the school zone.
Also, unless it’s a quick drop off or pick up, please make sure to find a parking spot in the lot or along the street and avoid leaving unattended cars in the drop off lane. Our buses often pick up and drop off in that lane and we need that kept clear as much as possible.
Lost and Found
We will have all of the Lost and Found items outside at the Talent Show Event so that families can check and see if they recognize any of the items left behind and take them home.
Glasses
We want to make sure all of our students have what they need to feel confident and focused in class! When students who need glasses go without them, it can make learning and staying engaged a bit tougher.
If your child has misplaced their glasses recently, please feel free to pop by the main office—we often have a few pairs turned in that are waiting to find their way home.
