Gecko News (6-4-2021)

Dear Parents,

We hope you’re enjoying the nice warm weather! As we prepare to go into the summer months, there are some important details to share with you all:

Last day of School:

The last day of school for this year is June 18th and students will be dismissed at 1:00pm.

Office Location:

The Garfield office will be moving into a small trailer for the summer. The office will close on June 22nd and reopen on August 9th.

Upcoming Events:

We were hoping to have our end of year field day with our wonderful volunteers but we will not be able to do that this year. As an alternative, teachers have decided to do an individual grade level field day with fun, socially distanced activities. So, the tradition continues with a bit of a different twist this year.

Water Bottles:

Please consider sending your students to school with a water bottle for them to be able to stay hydrated during these very warm days. We do have water available in all classrooms but water bottles are much handier!

How to know if you should keep your child at home

Attached is  a description of symptoms  that we are asking all families to screen their children for before sending their student to school.  (541) 757-5941.

Please let us know if you have any questions. Enjoy the beautiful weekend.

Sincerely,

Nancy Davila-Williams
