The Garfield Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a bilingual and multicultural group with Spanish and English speaking co-leaders and over 40 active members!
- Create a sense of community between Garfield families, no matter the language they speak at home. We host events that provide an opportunity for families to get to know each other and to help Garfield School.
- Help parents learn about and communicate with Garfield and the Corvallis School District. We discuss relevant school issues and help parents feel empowered to share their concerns. We also invite guest speakers and organize trainings for parents.
- Increase financial support for Garfield. PTA organizes fundraisers such as a jog-a-thon called the Gecko Run, sales of tamales, and a school carnival. Funds raised pay for things like school equipment, scholarships for field trips, and grants for special activities.
Join us at our next PTA meeting!
We hold meetings in Spanish and English on the 3rd Tuesday of the month from 6 – 7:30 pm. There are no meetings during summer. To reach the Garfield PTA Officers, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
