Happy Summer!
I hope you are finding ways to stay cool during these very warm days!
Students have their ipads at home and will have access to school apps if you would like for them to have some continued practice over the summer. However, we are finding that some of our students are reaching out to teachers through their Chat app which makes sense because this is how many would communicate with their teacher during online learning. However, I want to remind you that most of our teachers are not checking chat or email over the summer and will be back and available to touch base with you and your student in September.
Should you need technical assistance over the summer, the tech department will be available to assist Monday through Friday from 10am to 2pm at (541)757-3911.
The Garfield Office is currently closed but you can still contact them by phone at (541)757-5941 until the end of June. The office will open again on August 9th.
We are so happy to share that we will be able to have volunteers back in the building for the 21-22 school year. All volunteers will be required to renew their background checks, as everyone’s has expired as of June 2021.
It is anticipated that there will be a large volume of applications district wide at the start of the school year. So, it will be important to fill out an application as soon as possible if you are hoping to volunteer next year because the process will likely take longer than the typical two weeks.
