A different kind of year for the PTA – Along with the school and our Corvallis community, the Garfield PTA has worked to adapt to the many changes and challenges we all face this year. We have been working hard to continue our support for Garfield School, our staff, parents, and students. We continue to work with the school to fund supplies that will aid in student learning, especially during these unprecedented times, fundraise to achieve our goals, and connect with our school community to make sure that everyone’s voice is heard.
Some examples of our support over the past year include:
- Ocarinas and recorders to support music learning
- Jump ropes for physical education learning
- Increase e-books in Spanish for school library
- Support for drama project for 5th graders
- More art supplies and other technology needs
Join our PTA on September 28th, 6-7:30pm – Come and learn more about the Garfield PTA, what we do to support our school, and how you can get involved! Interpretation will be available. Keep an eye out for the zoom link soon!
