Hello Garfield Families! Happy Friday!

This weather is keeping us guessing! We have been making sure to go outside to enjoy the sunshine and have been coming inside when it rains! Please continue to send your children to school with a hooded coat or rain jacket to be ready for the unpredictable weather.

Masking

As you all know, masking is optional. However, we have seen a bit of an uptick in our covid cases lately. If you are getting notices about cases in your student’s classroom, please consider encouraging your child to wear a mask for a couple of weeks. Either way, you can always refer to these charts if your child has any symptoms:

Can my student go to school?

  • For students UP TO DATE on their vaccination (English)
  • For students NOT up to date on their vaccination (English)

District Tours

If you haven’t had a chance to see the whole school, we have one more round of tours scheduled for Thursday, April 28th from 4-7 pm.  The tours will be self led and participants will be handed a map to explore parts of the school listed on the map. We will have guides stationed throughout the school to tell you about each area.

Important dates:

–     April 28th, 4-7 pm: Garfield tours organized by the School District

–    April 29th:  Lost and found items being donated

–    May 2-6: Teacher Appreciation Week May 2-6

Thanks everyone.
