Principal's Message
Dear Garfield Families,
It was really nice to get to see many of you during parent teacher conferences. We appreciate you coming in to meet with your child’s teacher and value our partnership with you all. Thank you!
Kinder Enrollment
We are still enrolling kindergarten students for the 2024-2025 school year.
The deadline to submit a transfer request for siblings out-of-district is April 29, 2024.
Teacher Appreciation Week
We are looking forward to Teacher Appreciation Week which is May 6th – May 10th.
We have a plan for treats throughout the week to shower our wonderful certified staff with appreciation. If you would like to join our efforts, please feel free to have your child bring something in for their teacher that week.
Some ideas: A special drawing, a note, a flower from the garden, etc.
Lost and Found
There are still many items in the lost and found. If your child has lost any articles of clothing at school, please stop by to take a look in the Lost and Found. We will be donating the items to a charity at the end of the month to clear the space.
Please consider writing your child’s name and grade inside their sweaters and jackets to help us get these back to them if they leave them behind.
Field Day: Many Volunteers Needed!
We would love your help with field day! We are looking for volunteers to help us with the activity rotations. We need 20 volunteers per grade level. If you can do more than one grade level, please let us know. If you are a registered and cleared volunteer and can help, please reach out in any of the following ways:
- Check in at the office
- Let your classroom teacher know
- Or write me at [email protected] and let me know
- And mark your calendar
If you sign up to help and cannot help at the last minute, please let someone know or get someone to cover for you (who is cleared) We count on our volunteers for a specific volunteer assignment. Doing this will really help make this an organized and pleasant event for everyone.
Thanks for considering it. This should be a fun event!
Volunteering
A lot of fun events happen in the spring! If you have not had a chance to volunteer yet and are hoping to help out with some of the spring events, please complete your volunteer registration. There is still time! Here is the link to register: Volunteer Application
