Dear Garfield Families,
The spring season is near and there are many fun events coming up!
School Concerts
We will have a 3-5 Student Concert on March 12th from 6:30 to 7:30pm. We plan to conclude the evening before 7:30 pm but may go over just a bit.
The K-2 concert will be on April 8th from about 6:30 to 7:30 pm also aiming to conclude closer to 7:30pm.
5th Grade Parent Information Night
On March 13th, we are offering a 5th grade parent information night from 5:30 to 6:30pm. This meeting is only for 5th grade students and their parents/guardians. We will dive into information about outdoor school and other spring events for 5th graders. We will also share information about Linus Pauling that was presented to students by LP administrators last week.
Kindergarten Open House
Speaking of upcoming events! All Corvallis School District elementary schools are having Kindergarten Open House on March 18th from 6:00 to 7:00pm. If your student will be five years old by September 15th, 2025, we invite you to join us!
2025–2026 EnrollmentÂ
Enrollment for next school year for incoming kinders opens on March 1st. It is important that you enroll in the month of March to allow us time for planning and preparing for our incoming students.
If you have an incoming kinder sibling, please check with the office to see if you are going to need a transfer or not. If you know you are going to request a transfer to CSD, please notify the office as well. Siblings are not automatically placed at the same school if living outside of the Garfield boundary.
Volunteering
These are just a few of the spring events. There will be many opportunities to volunteer. If you have been considering registering to volunteer but haven’t done so, I encourage you to do that now so that you aren’t waiting to be cleared the day you’d like to volunteer. All volunteers must be cleared before they can volunteer in any CSD school.
If you’re not sure if you have been cleared, you are welcome to stop by and check the volunteer computer anytime during school hours. If your name appears on the list, you are cleared.
