I also want to take a moment to thank all of the volunteers who are helping with Lucha Libros as well as all of the volunteers who helped with Bike education! You are amazing! Thanks for making these activities possible for the Garfield Geckos!

Functional and Safe Shoes
It’s that time of year when the sun is coming out and so are the flip flops! Please continue to send students to school in closed toe shoes that they can wear for PE and play in safely outside.

Lost and Found
The layers are shedding and our Lost and Found is already full again! Please feel free to come by and check the lost and found for anything your student may have left behind. We want to help get all of these items back to their owners!
Safety Response Protocol
We will be conducting our yearly lockdown drill this week. As part of this, we will be practicing an evacuation and will walk to Linus Pauling Middle School. It should take about 30 minutes for the whole drill.
Garfield Picnic and Movie Night!
We hope you will join us for the End of Year Garfield Community Picnic and Movie night on May 22nd beginning at 5:30pm! Thank you to the Garfield PTA for putting on this special event!
Kindergarten and 5th Grade Families: Save the Date:
Kindergarten families, kindergarten graduation will be June 12, 2025 at 9:00am in the school gym.
5th Grade families, 5th grade graduation will be June 12, 2025 at 1:00pm in the school gym.
5th Grade Slideshow (Pictures by May 23rd)
Parents of 5th graders, feel free to send a picture or two of your students at school or at a school event to: [email protected] for the 5th grade graduation slideshow by no later than May 23rd. This will allow us time to put it all together and add music.
Assembly
Our next assembly will feature the rest of the awesome acts for the talent show. Please feel free to join us at 12:45pm.
