Gecko News (11-8-2023)

Dear Garfield Families,

The cold and rainy weather season is here, and we are still enjoying some time outdoors as much as possible. Please help us by sending children to school with a hooded coat and closed toe shoes so they can enjoy their time outdoors safely and comfortably.

Family Advocate

If you need support with any of these items or others, please contact our family advocate, Angelica Muñoz. We’re attaching a flyer from Angelica to provide more information about her role at Garfield.

No School

Please note that this Friday, November 10th, there is no school.

There is also no school on the 22, 23rd or 24th of November.

Lost and Found

When our lost and found is full, the items are donated to a local charity. We need to keep clearing the space for items that continue to be found throughout the school.

We will be donating the items next week.

*On Fridays, if it is not raining, we will have the Lost and Found items on racks next to the Dixon Street Gate for you to review. Otherwise, feel free to stop by the office to check the lost and found if your student has lost something.

Picture Retakes

Pictures are going home this week.

If you decide that you would like your child to retake their picture, please make sure to return the packet received this week to their classroom teacher in order to take a retake.

Retakes will be next Thursday, November 16, 2023.
