Hello Garfield Families!
It’s hard to believe that it’s already time to start thinking about kindergarten registration for next year but here we are! Here is some information for you all:
Kinder Registration:
If you have a student that will be ready for kindergarten next year or know someone who does, it’s almost time for kindergarten registration! Kindergarten registration opens March 1, 2024 and will be available on the Corvallis School District website under New Student Enrollment.
Families registering a kindergartner may request a transfer to a school outside their boundary area only after registering at their boundary area school. Transfer requests will be accepted online for Corvallis residents from March 18 – April 1, 2024, The transfer window for non-residents Is from April 15-April 29, 2024. Transfers will be subject to grade-level enrollment and space limitations.
Second through fifth grade students are given a Spanish language proficiency assessment in speaking and reading before a transfer to a dual language elementary school is considered for approval.
