Hello Garfield Families! Happy Friday!

I want to thank you all for how well our students navigated the shift from being required to wear a mask to having the option to wear or not wear a mask. Students have been very respectful to one another around this topic this week and I know that this is coming from messaging at home. Thanks for helping us with this.

Here is some information for you all:

Lost and Found

Our lost and found is pretty full now! Please stop by the week after spring break if your child has lost any articles of clothing at school. You may find it in the lost and found. We will dispose of what we have in April.

Garfield School Tours

We have a great turnout at the Garfield school tours that the district led in February. They will be sending out sign up information for another opportunity for a tour soon.

Volunteers

Spring is a busy time of year! Some classes are working on planning field trips and there is a possibility that there will be some end of year events. If you haven’t already done so, I encourage you to begin the volunteer registration process so that you are cleared in time to volunteer.

Spring Break:

There is no school from March 21st – March 25th. We will be back in school March 28th.

Here is the district calendar link for your reference. 2021-22-School-Year-Calendar-Elementary.pdf

Here are the updated flowcharts for when to keep kids home and when to bring them to school:

Can my student go to school?

  • For students UP TO DATE on their vaccination (English)
  • For students NOT up to date on their vaccination (English)

Thanks everyone.
