From the principal

Dear Families,

Welcome to March! With the weather getting warmer, we are seeing more activity outside after school. It is wonderful to see so many people enjoying the outdoors. I would like to take a minute to remind families about dismissal and supervision after school. Students are welcome to be on the playground after school if an adult supervises them. Students who are walking home or going to Boys and Girls Club after school should leave school when the school day ends and go to their after school location. No school personnel are supervising students on the playground after school. If a student is playing on the playground, we will check in with the adult supervising the student. If there is not an adult supervising, the student will be asked to go to their after school location.

During the week of March 9th-13th, we will be holding conferences for parents. This is an opportunity to see what students have been doing in their classrooms and hear more about a child’s progress. If you have not scheduled a conference with your child’s teacher, please contact your child’s teacher or call the office.

I often share information with families in March about kindergarten registration and transfer requests. I wanted to let everyone know that the window for kindergarten registration and within district transfer requests will be April 13-May 1. Kindergarten Open House will be on April 15th at 5:30 pm. Please contact the office if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Principal Santy
