Dear Garfield Families,
I hope you all have been enjoying the sunshine! Next week will be a fun and busy week!
School Concerts
The third through fifth grade concert is on March 12th from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. (We may conclude by 7:15 pm)
Students should arrive at 6:15 pm to be ready to start on time.
Entrance to the concert will be from the 11th street gym doors.
We ask that all young children stay with their parents inside the gym during the event.
5th Grade Parent Information Night
On March 13th, we are offering a 5th grade parent information night from 5:30 to 6:30 pm. This meeting is only for 5th grade students and their parents/guardians.
This meeting will be in the cafeteria. Entrance will be through the cafeteria door at the front of the building.
Books and Breakfast
Books and Breakfast is one of our wonderful, family events put on by the Garfield PTA!
Come join us in the cafeteria for some delicious breakfast and take home some free books on April 5th!
We also invite you to visit the library to check out the Book Fair on that day if you would like to purchase some books.
Book donations can be dropped off in the Books and Breakfast boxes in the office.
This event will be in the cafeteria and entrance will be through the cafeteria door at the front of the building.
5th Grade Slideshow
We are starting to pull together the slideshow for fifth grade graduation! We always make sure to have at least one picture of every student. Sometimes it’s an individual picture and sometimes it’s a group shot. All pictures included are pictures of them at school or at a school event. Some of the pictures that are harder to come by are their younger year pictures (Kindergarten and first grade) especially if they came to Garfield later.
Feel free to send me a picture if you think we might not have one of your student in the early years. [email protected]. (If you don’t have one electronically, I am happy to scan one for you. Just drop it off at the office with a note on it and I’ll get it back to you)
Volunteering
All volunteers must be cleared before they can volunteer in any CSD school. Clearance can take up to 3 weeks. If you’re not sure if you have been cleared, you are welcome to stop by and check the volunteer computer anytime during school hours.
