Messages for 5th Grade Parents
Online Course Requests for next year: This is an important step in building student schedules for next year’s students. Current 5th grade students need to choose their elective options for next year.
We have expanded the options and it is very important that students fill their schedule with elective choices plus pick 2 credits worth of alternate electives as it is common for students to not get into their first choice. Please read over the Elective Course Descriptions and follow the Course Request Instructions with your student. Read the instructions carefully and if you have questions, please call the Linus Pauling office at 541-757-5961. Please complete Course Requests by June 3rd, 2022.
5th grade LPMS Open House
This year we will offer an in person 5th grade Open House, Wednesday, June 1st, 2022 in English and Thursday, June 2nd, 2022 in Spanish. The open house will be held in the Commons and we will offer a special session beginning at 6:00 for any questions about the 6th grade math courses. Administrators, teachers and other school personnel will share general information about LPMS, the 6th grade core classes and information about what to expect in your middle schooler. We are looking forward to meeting incoming 6th grade parents and their students. See you then!!
