Dear Garfield Families,
Our first rainy day at school! We had a pause in the rain just in time for recess. Now is a good time to start sending students to school with a raincoat or a hooded jacket. If you need help with a jacket for your student, please let us know by contacting the front office.
Garfield Campus:
Garfield houses an on-site Boys and Girls Club after school program called the Gecko Club. We end up with about 75 students in the program when at full capacity. These are all Garfield students who stay on campus until 6:00pm. In order to provide a safe and secure environment for our students, we need to have the gates locked until they are done. For this reason, our campus is closed until 6:00pm. We appreciate your understanding.
Coming up in October:
- We have a two-hour early release day on October 7th.
- Also, fall conferences are October 26-28th; there will be no school on those days.
Your child’s teacher will be reaching out to schedule conferences in the next couple of weeks.

Picture day is held today, Friday, September 30, 2022.

Lost and Found:
We have a collection gathering in the lost and found. If your child has lost any articles of clothing, please feel free to come by before or after school to search the lost and found.
