Garfield Elementary PTA Announcements

Next general meeting for the Garfield Elementary PTA
All the community of Garfield Elementary School is invited. Parents, teachers, students, staff, volunteers, we are all part of it.
When: Wednesday, March 20th from 6:30 pm to 7:45 pm.*
Where: The Garfield Elementary School cafeteria.
*The meeting will be held in English with a Spanish interpreter available.
Upcoming Dine Outs
Help the PTA to raise funds for Garfield Elementary classrooms and special activities by taking the night off from cooking! Go out, meet with friends, support our kids’ learning and some businesses around town at the same time.
March 14th from 11:00 am to 9:30 pm at El Sol de Mexico on 1597 NW Ninth St.
The restaurant donates 25% of all notified sales to the Garfield Elementary PTA. You must present a printed or digital flyer for donation to happen.
***The restaurant currently charges clients a fee for paying with credit card, if you wish to avoid this, you can pay with cash.
Books and Breakfast event
This is a community building event where your kids can nurture their passion for reading while enjoying breakfast. The Garfield Elementary PTA has been working hard with the support of various volunteers and our school staff to make Books and Breakfast a reality this year. Mark your calendars for Saturday, March 16th from 8:30 am to 11:30 am at Garfield Elementary School cafeteria. The PTA and our volunteers will offer a free breakfast for our community, including your choice of breakfast burrito or breakfast bowl, accompanied by fruits, coffee or juice. On that day, we will have a library of books available for exchange, recommended for ages 5-12 years old. Also, various businesses around town, like the Book Bin, have donated gift cards that will be raffled at different times during the event. Come share your books and a meal with our community, who knows, you might even win a prize.

Book Drive
We are currently accepting book donations for kids ages 5-12 years old. You can bring your gently used books to the school office before the day of the event on March 16th. Also, you can come to the Books and Breakfast event and exchange your books and a breakfast with our community.
Spring Fundraisers
If you are able and willing to volunteer, please complete the required forms for the Corvallis School District at https://www.csd509j.net/students-parents/volunteer/volunteer-application/ and contact us at [email protected]. We want to continue raising funds for next year and your support is the key.
