School Information

We are a National Distinguished Title I School, International Spanish Academy School, Dual Immersion School, and ELL Magnet School. Our dual immersion program began in September 2001 and expanded to become school-wide in 2012. We have a nurturing environment with high behavior expectations for safe, responsible, and respectful behavior.

Our Mission

We provide a cognitively demanding, bilingual education to students in our school community. Our goal is to create an environment where individual voice is valued, heard, and developed and ensure that each student has the foundational skills necessary to engage in the critical thinking that is necessary to be an active member of their community.

Nancy Davila-Williams, Principal

Nancy Davila-Williams has been our principal since 2021. Mrs. Davila-Williams began her career in public education for 17 years teaching at the elementary level (kindergarten, second, and fifth grades.) During her career, she has served as a testing coordinator, RTI specialist, and Instructional Coach. Most recently she served in the role of Dean of Students at Garfield, including coordination of the school’s Equity Committee.  She is a Crescent Valley High School alumni, married to a Corvallis High School alumni, and mother of three biracial children (all CHS Spartans!)

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from Oregon State University, a Masters of Education from George Fox University with endorsements in Bilingual Education, Spanish and Reading, and an administrative license from Portland State University.

She is proud to be a part of a school that embraces bilingualism and biculturalism
